This Privacy Policy describes how Cohera (“Cohera,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using Cohera, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Cohera is designed to facilitate secure communication and resource-sharing between clinicians and their clients. The platform is not an electronic health record (EHR) and is not intended to store or process Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA.
We collect limited data necessary to operate, improve, and support the Service while protecting your privacy and your clients’ confidentiality.
3. International Data Transfers
No International Use. Cohera’s Services are offered exclusively within the United States. The Services are not directed to, intended for, or made available to individuals located outside the United States.
If Cohera becomes aware that personal data has been collected from an individual located outside the United States, such data will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and may be deleted.

Organization or practice name
Role (e.g., clinician, admin, client)
Password (encrypted and never visible to Cohera staff)
We automatically collect limited technical data when you use the Service, including:

This information helps us maintain platform performance and security.
Clinicians and clients may voluntarily share or upload:
Non-clinical wellness data (e.g., mood ratings, journaling reflections, engagement tracking)
Educational resources and materials (e.g., worksheets, exercises, or PDFs)
Audio files such as meditations.
Users must not upload or store any psychotherapy notes, diagnostic measures, treatment plans, or clinical documentation in the Cohera platform.
We use collected information to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
Personalize your experience
Communicate updates, feature changes, and support notices
Improve performance, reliability, and security
Comply with applicable laws and licensing agreements
We do not sell user data, nor do we use your information for targeted advertising.

Cohera uses industry-standard safeguards, including:
Secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud hosting
Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS/TLS
Firewalls and intrusion monitoring

While we take every reasonable precaution to safeguard your data, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for ensuring that no clinical or PHI content is entered into the Service.
We retain user account data only for as long as necessary to provide
the Service or as required by law.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by
contacting support@coheraapp.com.
We may share limited data with:
Service providers who help operate our platform (e.g., hosting, analytics, billing). These providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection agreements.
Legal authorities if required to comply with legal obligations or prevent harm.
We do not share or sell your data to marketers, advertisers, or unrelated third parties.
Cohera uses cookies and similar technologies to:

Cohera is intended for use by licensed professionals and their
clients aged 18 and older.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we
learn that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will promptly
delete it.
Our servers are located in the United States. If you access Cohera from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the U.S., subject to applicable data protection laws.
